Call Us Crazy....

(can you tell where i photoshopped out our white minivan?? ha ha!  I should have cloned in some prettier grass...)

we just put our house on the market...today, actually.  we may decide over the next several months that it's the craziest decision we've made considering houses just aren't selling these days!  we have many different reasons for wanting to sell - but luckily right now we are not in a position where we have to sell it.  so if it doesn't, we'll manage.  but we are crossing our fingers, saying our prayers and holding out some hope that...by chance...it will actually sell.

isn't it funny how your house looks better than it's ever looked when you want to sell it?  we've been in this house for over a year without curtains - and "Wahlah!"  we have curtains now!  dirty carpets?  funny what a carpet cleaner from home depot will do!  beautiful!  dusty back porch?  well, what do ya know?  that broom does wonders - along with a couple of potted flowers and a table cloth...looks like somewhere i'd like to take vacation!  messy closets now organized!  why do we clutter our houses up when decluttering them looks so good and feels like relief?

we still have a list of things to do, like painting some areas on the outside of the house, washing the windows inside & out, a little landscaping, working on that "first impression" on our front porch.....i'm thinking that would include flowers...which i LOVE, i've just proven time and time again that i am not able to keep them alive for long.  :(

well, here are a couple pictures of our home....if it doesn't sell - at least it's clean and has new curtains!  but i think it's okay to have some hope that it will sell.  time will tell.

samuel's nursery
brilynn's room
great room
kitchen looking into dining room (used as office)
our screened in back porch...this, i will miss.

thank goodness i was able to borrow a friends canon 5d, wide angle lens and tripod for these pics!  what a difference that made!  i seriously need to get a better camera - ugh!

xoxo,
audrey

Oh how very fun. Your house is lovely! And I must agree that your screened porch is phenomenal indeed. Will be praying that if tis what the Lord has for You, it will be smooth and speedy. And if not, that there will be grace to be patient while you wait for whatever the next part of the story brings. Xoxo, Steph
