i couldn't help it. i had to post more from this wedding i was lucky enough to be part of a few weeks ago!
but first, a little reminder to myself and my handful of "followers" out there - i am SUCH a newbie!! i am not going to pretend to have quote unquote "
arrived" as a photographer by any stretch of the imagination. i am posting a few pictures from this wedding that are quite lovely....however, you are not looking through the MESS of other shots i took only to get a handful of ones i am somewhat happy with. but here is what i really AM proud of...i am proud of myself for loving every minute of my growing and learning process. i am proud of the fact that even though i mess up more than i succeed - i still love what i do...and i can't wait to succeed more than i mess up! haha! weddings are especially difficult because there are no do-overs. you either get the shot or you don't. with just a little more practice i think i could be a pretty good second shooter for weddings and hopefully won't have to sort through as much of a mess to get to the good shots!

something i noticed very quickly being behind the camera lens is that the camera recognizes who is naturally photogenic. it's like my camera gravitates toward that person. it doesn't necessarily mean that person is more beautiful...it just means the camera likes them better for some reason! the gorgeous bride has a sister, and my camera gravitated toward her. i think she liked my compliment when i told her the camera liked her! :) her beauty is fresh and timeless...here is another picture of her (i could have followed her around all day).

i love the light in this picture and the natural expressions of each family member. i can't say enough what a GORGEOUS family they are! you can tell they have fun together.

the flower girl was funny...anytime i turned my camera toward her she would get very still and just stare into my lens. no smiles. not even much of an expression. it was almost like her eyes were telling the camera something that i couldn't understand. i love that she is looking at the bride in this picture...all flower girls believe the bride is a true princess and dream of being her someday!

oh my goodness, do i LOVE father daughter dances!! it's hard for me to watch one without tearing up. look at the way he is closing his eyes and squeezing her - almost like he's holding her as his own one last time before he lets her go. precious, precious, precious. (ok - lump in throat, you can go away now!)

REGAL. that sums this picture up for me. REGAL. the confidence, the poise, the elegance. this is her day. she is the bride. she is the princess to be crowned queen. she is royalty. she is....
oh so lovely....
xoxo,
audrey
